A Toowoomba church on a massive parcel of inner-city land has been listed for sale, as the group plans to move to a bigger space to cater for its growing congregation.
The Living Grace Church on the Jellicoe Street in North Toowoomba, not far from Hume Street, has hit the market through Colliers International.
The sale includes the 400 sqm church hall, administration building at the rear and two units, one of which was tenanted.
Lead agent Mike Turley said the 4000 sqm site would have plenty of appeal for a variety of buyers, calling it a “rare” opportunity.
“The congregation that owns the church need to source a larger facility for them to expand,” he said.
“It’s a pretty wide spectrum of buyers, but there are other churches looking to buy, so we’ve had a few come through.
“A few NDIS providers have expressed interest, as well as registered training organisations.
“Also, don’t exclude developers for what they can do for highest and best use.
“It’s a large block of land, which is pretty rare for that part of town.”
The expressions of interest period ends on March 29.
