Former President Donald Trump has warned of political “enemies” that may stop him from winning the US election, adding his victory would be “one of the greatest victories of all time.”

In an appearance on stage at Tucker Carlson’s event in Nevada as part of his live speaking tour, Mr Trump said: “I think we’re leading by a lot, and … we can keep that cheating down, because there are a bunch of cheats. If we can keep that cheating down, we’re going to have a tremendous victory … I think it’ll go down as one of the greatest victories of all time.”

It came as Jennifer Lopez backed Kamala Harris after appearing at her event also in Nevada where she told the crowd: “Let’s get loud”, and vote for the Vice President.

“There is no candidate in the history of the presidency that is more qualified, and there is no job that Kamala Harris can’t do,” J Lo said. “Kamala Harris gets it.”

Earlier, Mr Trump falsely claimed he won New Mexico in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, despite losing the state by wide margins to President Joe Biden and then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“We almost won it twice. And let me tell you, I believe we won it twice,” Mr Trump said at a rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“Look, I’m only here for one reason. They all said, ‘Don’t come.’ I said ‘Why?’ ‘You can’t win New Mexico.’ I said, ‘Look, your votes are rigged. We can win New Mexico. We can win New Mexico.’”

Mr Trump, dressed in a black overcoat and black Make America Great Again cap, also painted a dark picture of immigration run amok as he addressed supporters in border state New Mexico, saying migrants are “unleashing a violent killing spree all across America.”

US election: 5 days to go

“I love Hispanics. They are hard workers, and boy are they entrepreneurial, and they’re great people,” Mr Trump said.

“And they are warm, sometimes they are too warm, if you want to know the truth.”

Latinos traditionally have aligned more with Democrats, but recent polling shows a noticeable trend toward Republicans.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris slammed Mr Trump for what she called “very offensive” remarks about women, putting abortion rights back in the spotlight.

“(Trump) does not prioritise the freedom of women and the intelligence of women to make decisions about their own lives and bodies,” she said.

The latest New York Times/Siena poll showed Harris with 52 per cent support among Hispanic voters to Trump’s 42 per cent.

Both candidates will be in North Carolina on the weekend as part of a blitz of battleground states, with Ms Harris also visiting Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania before Election Day.

Other key moments in the campaign today include:

■ As the Harris campaign attempted to claim the high ground, its top surrogate Mark Cuban was slammed for insulting half the women in America by claiming Mr Trump: “Doesn’t surround himself with intelligent women”.

■ The blame game has begun in Democrat circles as they point fingers amid the likelihood of a Trump victory, with the top scapegoat shaping up to be Mr Biden.

■ The White House was accused of creating a “fake” transcript to whitewash the president’s “garbage” smear in official records.

■ Joe Rogan’s podcast with vice presidential candidate JD Vance dropped, where he attacked Ms Harris.

■ Elon Musk tried to move a case about a $1 million voter sweepstakes to a federal court.

■ Jake Paul endorsed Mr Trump for president, while LeBron James endorsed Ms Harris.
