UPDATE: A woman with suspected spinal injuries sustained in a fall was rescued from Table Top Mountain after an 11-hour mission last night.
Emergency services stretchered the woman from the mountain about 4am after receiving a distress call about 7pm.
Another woman was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with a fractured ankle after the mission which was described as technically difficult.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Ambulance launched the mission shortly before 7pm.
After locating the two women, rescue crews initially called in a helicopter to assist but that was not possible due to weather conditions.
Instead, QFES and QAS officers trekked the mountain and carried the women to waiting ambulances.
9.30PM: Emergency services are struggling in wet and muddy conditions to rescue a woman from Table Top Mountain tonight.
A woman who suffered an ankle injury and back pain following a slip has been transferred by stretcher over the very steep first hump of the popular walking track.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Ambulance Service officers are assisting in the rescue which has been described as technically difficult.
The first call to emergency services was made at about 7pm this evening.
