VISITORS heading out to the Wellcamp Airport open day today are in for a full day, jam-packed with information, events and celebrities.
As soon as the gates open at 9.30am, acoustic rock and folk band, Johnny Jump Up, will start the day's free musical entertainment.
It is important to get to the day early, as the first of the day's stars, Australian netball sensation Laura Geitz, will be signing autographs between 10am and 11am.
From 10.30am, visitors should look to the skies over the runway to see the wonder and skill of the Aerotech war birds.
Featuring three 1954 North American T-28s, also known as Trojans, the display will be very loud and very brightly coloured.
Two of the aircraft flying at the open day were used in the Korean War and there are only 16 aircraft like them in Australia, five of which are in Toowoomba.
This aeronautics display will fascinate people of all ages.
At 11am country music star Amber Lawrence will take to the main stage.
Since bursting onto the country music scene six years ago, Ms Lawrence has enjoying a stellar career including five Golden Guitar nominations, six number one songs and three studio albums.
Following Ms Lawrence's one-hour set, ambassador Laura Geitz will again be signing autographs, followed by an aerial display over the runway by the Aero Modellers Association.

Country music legend Tania Kernaghan will perform on the main stage.
Ms Kernaghan said appearing at the open day would be a particularly special occasion for her as she was the patron of Angel Flight Outback Trailblazer Event, a charity which will be the beneficiary of the money raised from the gold coin parking donations made by visitors.
"I am thrilled to be involved with Wellcamp Airport and delighted the community has been encouraged to support Angel Flight through a gold coin donation on the day," Ms Kernaghan said.
Following Ms Kernaghan's performance, the Aerotech war birds and Aero Modellers Association will each complete one final aerial display before the day ends at 4pm.
In between the programmed activities, guests of all ages can enjoy the other activities on offer, including jumping castles and face painting, machinery displays, food and drink stalls, joy flights and bus tours of the airport site.
