PULL out your umbrellas, Toowoomba - it's going to be a wet weekend across the Darling Downs.
Thunderstorms and decent rainfall are expected across the region over the next three days, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Duty forecaster Andrew Bufalino said most areas in Toowoomba could expect a little rain, but for some places it could be much heavier.
"The main driver of these conditions is a pretty strong upper trough and that's expected to continue for the next three days until Tuesday," he said.
"We're expecting showers and thunderstorms to continue across the weekend.
"Right now we're looking at 5-20mm across eastern Darling Downs, but if you're under one of these heavy rainfalls you could receive up to 50mm."
Some big numbers have already been recorded south of Toowoomba, including 50-80mm near Millmerran and 50mm at Centenary Bridge.
Mr Bufalino said thunderstorms were also a strong possibility for the Garden City.
Residents are encouraged to move cars undercover and tie down loose objects in backyards.
