THE Department of Transport and Main Roads says work is about to start on a new Troys Rd overpass.
It also reports that work on duplicating the Warregeo Hwy between Toowoomba and Oakey is progressing.
Piling works will start at Troys Rd on Monday 20 April as part of construction of the new Troys Rd overpass.
This work, including the delivery of the piling machinery and materials, will be undertaken during normal working hours from Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm.

The piling work is expected to take a month to complete.
Construction of the overpass is expected to be completed in early next year.
The departments a number of key activities have been completed on the highway duplication, including a side track at the Troys Rd and Warrego Hwy intersection and the creation of a work zone for the construction of the overpass at Troys Rd.
"While most of the work will be done off road to minimise the impact on traffic, a reduced speed limit will be enforced throughout the construction zone for the safety of motorists and road workers; and to allow construction vehicles to enter and leave the site safely," a spokesman said.
Signage and traffic controllers will be in place to guide motorists.
The spokesman said every effort would be made to reduce the impact on local residents and motorists.
Minor delays are expected and motorists are advised to obey all signage and remain aware of queued traffic ahead.
