SOUTHERN Queensland Country Tourism and the RACQ have joined forces urging visitors to the region to discover something new by taking a different route to Toowoomba.
The new plan helps travellers avoid Range traffic congestion.
Four maps have been released today revealing the different ways visitors can choose to travel from Brisbane to Toowoomba.
Southern Queensland Country Tourism CEO Mary-Clare Power said the alternative route program was created to offer visitors different options when travelling to Toowoomba.
"Each route has been carefully mapped to create four interesting journeys which share local knowledge and highlights that our visitors can choose to experience along the way," Ms Power said.
"Our region is where visitors love to slow down, leave the city pace behind, breathe in our beautiful country air and relax.
"From lush parks and award- winning gardens to historic architecture, antique shops, cultural centres and vineyards, the region has a lot to offer.
"These alternative routes give our visitors the opportunity to discover more of the region and take a journey which promises to be just as memorable as their experience at their destination," she said.
