Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a bus in Melbourne’s West on Friday night.

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a bus in Melbourne’s West on Friday night.
The bus hit the pedestrian about 9.45pm on Heaths Rd in Hoppers Crossing, with the driver of the bus stopping to render assistance.
The man who has yet to be formally identified was unable to be revived by emergency services at the scene.
Investigations into the exact cause of the collision remain ongoing, with anyone who witnessed the collision or with footage is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
The death brings Victoria’s road toll to 52 lives lost, six more than the same time last year.
