Pedestrian dies after being hit by bus in Hoppers Crossing

Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a bus in Melbourne’s West on Friday night.

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a bus in Melbourne’s West on Friday night.

The bus hit the pedestrian about 9.45pm on Heaths Rd in Hoppers Crossing, with the driver of the bus stopping to render assistance.

The man who has yet to be formally identified was unable to be revived by emergency services at the scene.

The death brings Victoria’s road toll to 52 lives lost, six more than the same time last year.
