MUTARNEE: Car leaves Bruce Hwy, hits tree

Paramedics are assessing two people after a car crashed off the Bruce Hwy and into a tree near the Paluma turn-off around 5.40pm. Motorists are being urged to proceed with caution.

Bruce Hwy drivers are being asked to proceed with caution near the Paluma turn-off after a car left the highway and struck a tree.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said they are assessing two female patients who are “conscious and breathing”.

It is understood one woman has shoulder injuries, the second has “possible chest injuries”.

The crash occurred around 5.40pm, close to where Lorna Ck runs under the highway, 2kms south of the Paluma turn-off.
