A North Queensland masseuse is facing an additional charge after a second alleged victim came forward over the weekend.
The 54-year-old man has been charged with further sexual offences, allegedly committed at a massage business in the Burdekin.
On Saturday, police charged him with one count of sexual assault in relation to an alleged incident at a massage business in Ayr on January 14 involving a woman in her 40s.
This comes weeks after the same man was charged with two counts of sexual assault on February 23 relating to a woman in her 20s.
Police allege the incidents occurred at a massage business between July 2024 and February 17 this year.
The man is due to appear in the Ayr Magistrates Court on March 24.
Ayr Criminal Investigation Branch Officer in Charge, Detective Sergeant Lisa Shields, said the investigation remains ongoing.
“Following the original charges and public appeal, police have been contacted by a number of people, and a further charge has been laid,” Detective Sergeant Shields said.
“We are re-appealing for community members who may have been a victim of a similar incident at a massage business in the Burdekin to come forward, or anyone who may have witnessed concerning behaviour to contact police.”
