WET weather weekends at home will be a thing of the past for Toowoomba’s golfers.
Built for everyone from the complete rookie to the seasoned professional, X-Golf is the perfect indoor golf and entertainment.
Located in the Rowes Precinct, co-owner Justin Garvie said they players would be able to tee up this weekend.
“It’s a virtual concept but you’re hitting a real ball,” Mr Garvie said.
“You bring your clubs in or hire the clubs we have here.
“We have everything from the driving to full rounds of golf with courses from all the world you can select.”
Each of the booths can cater for between six and eight people depending on the style of ‘play’ they opt for.
“Each booth can hold six people if they want a game of golf or eight people if they want to have a longest drive comp,” Mr Garvie said.
“The major drawcards would have to be that’s all inside, it’s airconditioned, there’s music, a bar and food.
“It’s automated so you don’t have to bend down to put the ball on the tee.
“We’ve set it up so it’s great for people who want to try golf, it’s not an intimidating environment, it’s about having fun.”
Mr Garvie also hopes to add a golf pro some time next year.
“Wendy (Garvie) and I decided to invest in Toowoomba because we know a lot of people love to play golf here,” he said.
“We hope to have a golf pro next year because we have a couple of high-tech booths that can be used to help people learn about golf.
“For the serious golfer than can come in when the weather is bad, but it’s also very popular for hen’s, buck’s and Christmas parties as well as other events.”
