Storms and showers are set to clear on Saturday, but cool weather is on the horizon, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
There is a 30 per cent chance of a shower in Toowoomba on Saturday, which is expected in the late morning or early afternoon.
On Sunday, temperatures will rise to 30 degrees, according to the forecast, with predictions of a sunny morning followed by a shower or two.
“Generally, we’ll be expecting to see the chance of storms ease out of the area today, with sunny skies set to set in,” BOM forecaster Rosa Hoff said.
“However, they’re not long to last with an increase in rainfall picking up tomorrow about the inland parts of the south.”
Ms Hoff said temperatures were expected to plummet after the weekend.
“A cold front is going to roll through the southern parts of Queensland over the weekend, which is going to increase our chance of rainfall about the southeast as well as dropping temperatures significantly in the southwest,” she said.
Maximum temperatures in Toowoomba will drop to 23 degrees on Tuesday.
