Two Toowoomba restaurants in a popular Mexican fast food franchise have hit the market, just a year after the second location was opened.
Zambrero, which has more than 200 stores across Australia, first opened at Walton Stores in the CBD in 2019 before a second eatery launched at Northpoint Shopping Centre last year.
Now the franchises have hit the market, with online listings boasting the restaurants’ strong turnover and market position.
“Waltons has eight years remaining on both lease and franchise agreement — both are on exceptional terms offering the best opportunity for the incoming franchisee to succeed,” the listing said.
Northpoint has nine years remaining on both lease and FA and similar to the above offers exceptional terms.
“This is a truly unique opportunity to buy two profitable businesses for less than they cost to set up, it doesn't get much more turnkey than that.
“The current owners are committed to multiple stores on the Gold Coast and plan to continue to grow their portfolio there.”
The franchises are currently owned by Scott Chapman, who defied the economic impacts of COVID-19 to open the second store in 2020.
“Probably 15 months ago we founded the location at Walton Stores, and we made a commitment to ourselves that we would open a new store within 12 months,” he said in April last year.
According to the listing, the two stores have a combined potential income of about $180,000 a year.
