Foodies across Toowoomba will delight as ‘Australia’s biggest feast’ comes back to town.
Australia’s premier travelling food festival Street Feast is set to open at the Toowoomba Showgrounds this Friday, July 9.
Back for the second time this year, the festival, which claims to be Australia’s largest travelling food market, will host a diverse range of local and out-of-town food trucks, retail stalls and artists.
“It’s always great in Toowoomba,” Street Feast executive assistant Regina Putri said.
“The Toowoomba crowds are always consistent … even towards the end of last year, there was a lot of rain but the crowds were the same.
“We’ve checked the weather for Friday and it’s predicted to be sunny all day so we are looking forward to it!”
Ms Putri assured all the festival’s old favourites would be returning alongside new and exciting food vendors.
Among the vendors are local gin crafters HopScotch Distillers, trendy dessert van Roll It Ice Cream Co., and beloved chippery Fully Loaded Monster Fries.
Festival organisers hope to draw an even bigger crowd to Friday’s event with the introduction of cosy and cute entertainment.
“We’ve changed a few things up for this year,” Ms Putri said.
“We will have a free movie playing on the night … and we will have little dancers from Dancing Stars performing.
“They are very adorable, when they reached out to us to perform we couldn’t say no.”
The festival will open from 4pm and run until late, entry is priced at $3 per person.
