Toowoomba fire, ambulance services respond to fire at Ridley Agriproducts site in Harristown

A fire that started at an industrial site in Toowoomba’s inner suburbs has left two men in hospital.

Two men have been taken to a hospital after a fire broke out at an industrial precinct in Toowoomba on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident at the Ridley Agriproducts site on Anzac Avenue in Harristown just after 7am.

The fire had reportedly started in a toilet block when a substance, believed to be an adhesive, was accidentally lit.

One man was treated by paramedics for burns to his lower leg, while another suffered smoke inhalation.

They were taken each to St Vincent’s Hospital and Toowoomba Hospital in stable conditions.
