SADLY the BCC Grand Central Cinemas will be out of action this weekend due to storm damage, but there is still a huge range of flicks playing at Strand Cinemas. From Spider-Man: No Way Home and Scream to Sing 2 and House of Gucci – there is something playing for everyone.
7: Find something special.
THE Toowoomba Markers Market will run from 8am-1pm on Sunday and offers shoppers a great place to meet local artisans and pick a one-off, unique gift.
Located in the Mills Precinct, the market has plenty of parking, tasty food and is dog friendly.
8: Eat smart food
ARE you stressing about what to put in the school lunch box? Or sick of arguing about vegetables at dinner time?
If so, get along to The Change Project’s Mad Food Science Experience at the Toowoomba Library from 10am-2.30pm on Saturday.
Learn tips for dealing with fussy eaters, why the food rainbow is important and what food helps with concentration. The session cost $5 per person.
9: Take a walk
ANYTHING indoors is problematic these days so go for a walk and explore the great outdoors.
As a bonus, the weekend is forecast to be sunny and the recent rain has made the countryside green again.
There are great nature walks at Ravensbourne National Park, Crows Nest Falls, The Main Ranges and of course Picnic Point and Table Top Mountain. All are free.
10: Netball sign-up
THE Stampede Boys Netball Clinic is back. It is free and held at Nell E Robinson on Saturday from 9-10.30am. This clinic is for players aged between 10-17 who want to join a Stampede team or just try netball for the first time. This is your chance to get into the game.
