Six of One Roasters opens in the Mills Precinct

It is a place where people interested in coffee can hangout by the roaster, watch the beans swirl and talk to the staff about their passion for a good brew.

Coffee lovers will have access to top-flight brews and beans when Six of One Roasters opens this week.

The quaint roastery operates from a wing of the Mills Precinct and sources it beans directly from South American farmers.

“We want to roast here and then provide beans to little cafes that have probably not had the opportunity to get really good coffee,” owner Jason Lilienstein said.

The business is primarily a wholesale roastery that also offers retail beans and brewing equipment.

Customers wanting to sample any of Mr Lilienstein four blends can do so with traditional espresso-based beverages or by trying its tasting flights, filtered coffees or cold brews.

“We call it an ‘immersive coffee experience’ which means we offer a whole heap of coffees in a whole heap of ways,” he said.

“I want people who are interested in coffee to come in, see the roaster in action, see green beans and talk to the roaster without all the palaver.”

Six of One Roastery opens daily from 6am at 1A/279 Ruthven Street.
