Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was kept busy throughout the region yesterday with multiple people flown to hospital.
About 11.15am Sunday morning the chopper responded to an incident in the Toowoomba region after a man fell off a horse while working at a cattle yard.
The rider, aged in his 20s, was treated for leg and chest injuries by the aeromedical team and Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics.
He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Then about 2.20pm the rescue crew were called to assist an injured teenager after he came off his motorbike, while riding on a motocross track.
The aeromedical helicopter flew to the scene in the South Burnett, where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS paramedics worked together to treat the boy for chest injuries.
He was loaded into the aircraft and flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition.
