Toowoomba residents can score two tickets for the price of one to experience a ‘one-of-a-kind’ tourist adventure around the outback. Here’s how you can get in on the deal.

Queensland Rail is offering a new deal for patrons on board the Inlander, Westlander and Spirit of the Outback where you can score two tickets for one to encourage people from Toowoomba to support the small country towns these holidays.

“With Christmas right around the corner, the (State) Government is urging Queenslanders to get vaccinated to reunite families and protect Queensland from Delta,” Transport minister Mark Bailey said.

“And with Queensland set to open, now is the perfect time to experience the heart of Queensland’s outback on-board the Inlander, Westlander or Spirit of the Outback.

“Regional Queensland has done it tough throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, so I encourage travellers to head west and show our regions some much-needed support.”

Mr Bailey said the offer complemented the Great Queensland Getaway.

Mr Bailey said heightened cleaning measures remained in place both on-board and at stations to support the safety of those on-board.

“Queensland Rail continues to operate to an Industry Covid-Safe plan including enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures on all trains to support customers,” he said.
