Prominent tattoo studio announces death of founder John Poole
Tributes are flowing after a prominent Toowoomba tattoo studio announced the death of its founder in a social media post.

A tattoo artist at a prominent Toowoomba studio has died, the business has announced.
In a post on the Top of the Range Tattoo Studio Facebook page, the business said “all time great” John Poole had died.
“It is with immense sadness we advise the sudden passing of our all time great, John Poole,” the Facebook post said.
Mr Poole started Top of the Range more than three decades ago.
According to a Chronicle article back in 2014, Mr Poole’s passion for tattoos began when he was around the age of 10.
“I started noticing them on different people and I became fascinated,” he said.
