THE owners of Toowoomba’s Price Attack salon are chalking up 15 years of business and their commitment to business in the local community.
Janelle and Peter McManus love the city and the fact their business contributes to people’s feelings of wellbeing.
“I have always loved the industry, it is ever changing and never boring,” Mrs McManus said.
“There is nothing more satisfying than seeing client transformations and we love seeing people play with colour and style for really individual looks.
“We are a mix of service and retail and our resilience lies in the fact, that people feel good after a haircut or treatment and a trip to a salon is a great confidence booster.
“Our society has become hugely social.
“For many people hairdressers are not only their stylist but their friend.”
Yesterday Price Attack Toowoomba celebrated 15 years in business.
It was back in 2005 when Mrs McManus said she and her husband moved to Toowoomba from Brisbane, first setting up in Clifford Gardens before relocating to Grand Central, as something of a “tree change.”
“We have always been drawn to Toowoomba,” she said.
“People are so friendly. We are very customer focused and happy to just provide professional advice to someone without the need to always sell something. People soon come back.
“The relocation was a sign we were growing and needed more space and provide a wide range of styling and hair care products for the growing market.
“We have some regional regulars who make sure they drop in on the days they come to town to do a big shop.”
