Police rule Glenvale house fire as non-suspicious

A QFES fire investigator will return to the scene of a Glenvale house fire this morning after police finalised their role in the investigation.

Toowoomba detectives have ruled a fire that destroyed part of an abandoned Glenvale home as non-suspicious.

The fire started in the rundown, single storey Hursley Road home, shortly after 5.30am on Sunday.

Several Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to the incident, to find a small fire burning in the middle of the structure.

They had the fire extinguished by 5.50am.

No one was hurt.

Toowoomba Acting Detective Senior Sergeant John Cunningham said the police had finalised their role in the investigation, with a QFES fire investigator due to return to the scene today.
