Toowoomba Police have cautioned a man after he was caught walking though Wine Drive Park in Wilsonton Heights with what was first reported as a machete.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said several units attended the incident and located a man carrying a “cultural artefact” about 7.20am.

“It was a wooden machete,” she said.

“Perhaps he did not think it would be upsetting for the community to see someone moving the object from one house to another while students are on their way to school.”
