The Queensland State Archives has this week released a treasure trove of images from the 1970s.

The newly-digitised images show streetscapes from all throughout the state, including scenes in Darling Downs and Lockyer Valley towns like Gatton, Oakey, Goondiwindi, along the Warrego Highway and more.

The 500 images are hosted on the State Archive’s Flickr account.

The images show that while many things have changed, much remains the same.
