Among all the spiciness from the popular Murphys Creek Chilli Carnival, organiser Jason O’Connor said the best part of the event was seeing the big “spicy” smiles on everyone’s faces.

“Just to see the big smiles on people’s faces after all that mask-wearing is great,” he said.

“It’s an outdoor event and people are getting out and socialising.”

The event hosted more than 60 vendors, and raised funds for Rural Aid, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
