More than 3000 people from all walks of life laced up their runners for Peak2Park run on Sunday March 2, with all proceeds going to Darling Downs mental health organisation Momentum.
Starting at Picnic Point and finishing at Lake Annand participants ran, walked or strolled 10km or 4km, making it the perfect fun run for anyone to take part in.
Momentum CEO Shirley-Anne Gardiner said being involved in such an inclusive event was perfect for their cause as mental health issues can affect anyone and everyone.
“Mental health crosses all age groups, all demographics, and all socioeconomic groups,” she said.
“Every little thing we do like this helps to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
“It was incredible seeing parents running with their kids, schools running together, or even work colleagues coming together.”
Ms Gardiner said the event promotes the five ways to well-being; social connections, being active, being aware and appreciating nature, keep learning and trying something new, and giving back to the community.
Peak 2 Park run will be donating to Momentum for the next two years, to help build up support for the company and awareness for mental health.
