Officeworks raises $140,000 for Radio Lollipop

Staff and customers from Officeworks Toowoomba have managed to turn spare change into charitable action, raising almost $18,000 for children’s charity, Radio Lollipop.

Operating in hospitals around the country, Radio Lollipop (Lots Of Love and Laughter In Place Of Pain) is set to receive $140,000 thanks to the support of the local community and this year’s Officeworks Round Up to Make a Difference initiative.

The nationwide campaign gives customers the choice to round up their purchases in-store or donate online, with funds going directly to support Radio Lollipop, with the Toowoomba store raising $17,800 the highest contribution of any other store in Australia.

Officeworks Toowoomba store business manager, Tina Foelz said it has been rewarding to see the passion and commitment from her store’s team shine throughout the campaign.

“Connecting with the community is important to our team and the initiative gave us the opportunity to bring awareness to both our staff members and our customers about who Radio Lollipop is and what they do,” she said.

“The service they deliver brightens the days for sick children and demonstrate the importance of happiness in their healing process.’’

The much-needed funds will go towards expanding the work of the charity into more regions of Queensland.
