New paramedic’s essential gear stolen in car break-in

A paramedic wants the community to help find the gear stolen from his car, which is essential to his vital work for LifeFlight. Here’s how you can help.

A LifeFlight paramedic who just moved to Toowoomba is calling for the return of essential work items, after they were stolen from his car.

Andrew Meakin’s vehicle was broken into on Sunday night, and among the items stolen was his flight jacket and helmet.

Both of these are vital to his work completing helicopter retrievals.

Following an outpouring of support on social media, one resident started a GoFundMe to help Mr Meakin replace the items.

According to the fundraiser, any residual funds will be donated back to LifeFlight.
