Emma Lovell, 41, was allegedly stabbed in the chest while fighting off intruders in her home on Boxing Day 2022. Two youths from Brisbane were each charged with murder.

The matter is still before the courts.

Robert William Brown, 75, died last week as result of injuries he suffered in a sickening alleged broad daylight robbery in the heart of Toowoomba’s CBD while he was waiting  in broad daylight for a taxi. Isaac Zane Cubby, 18, from Wilsonton and two 17 year old boys have been charged with murder and are still before the courts.

Hervey Bay Uber driver Scott Cabrie, 47, was allegedly killed by two teens, who have since been charged with his murder.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder, alongside 18-year old Tye Wayne Porter who was also charged after Mr Cabrie’s body was found on February 12.

In February 2021, Jennifer Board, 22, was hit and killed on her motorcycle in Townsville.

It is alleged teenager Gregory Clubb was driving a stolen car when it was rammed by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Facebook vigilante Christopher Michael Hughes, whose car then hit Ms Board.

Hughes has been charged with murder and Clubb is facing a manslaughter charge. Three other teenagers also faces lesser chargers. The matters are still before the courts.

MATTHEW FIELD AND KATE LEADBETTER

On Australia Day 2021 a drunken, drug-addled 17-year old ploughed into Matthew Field and a pregnant Kate Leadbetter in a stolen car as they walked dogs at Alexandra Hills. The teen was sentenced to 10 years’ jail.

Carlo Stewart, 31, died after being shot in a street fight in North Booval in July 2021. A boy, 16, was charged with murder along with two adult men with their cases still before the courts.

RENE LATIMORE

A boy, 17, was charged with murdering Rene Latimore, 31, in Koumala, south of Mackay, after she disappeared in August 2021. The matter is still before the courts.

A boy, 17, was charged with the stabbing murder of 16-year-old Balin Stewart on his front lawn at Buddina on the Sunshine Coast on January 20, 2022. The matter is still before the courts.

Michael Warburton, 59, from Hemmant was riding his Vespa scooter home in September 2022 when a stolen car, allegedly driven by a 15-year-old Wynnum teen, crossed to the wrong side of the road and mowed him down in Wynnum West.

Four teens were charged with a range of offences including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. The matter is still before the courts.

DAVID GEORGE CONNOLLY

David George Connolly, 43, was stabbed to death less than a kilometre from his home in the up-market inner-Brisbane suburb of Wilston in January 2023.

A Burpengary boy, 17, was charged with murder and is still before the courts.

DOOMADGEE STABBING

A 16-year-old girl was charged with murdering a 16-year-old boy after a stabbing in Doomadgee in November 2021.

LAIDLEY MUDER

A boy, 16, was charged with murdering a man in Laidley in June 2022. He was also charged with attempted murder and arson. Four other people aged 19-24 were also charged. The matter is still before the courts.

BARINA MURDER

A boy, 16, was charged with murder after a man, 42, was found with stab wounds in Barina on the Sunshine Coast in September 2022.  The matter is still before the courts.

CITY STABBING

Two teens, 16 and 17, were charged with murder after a 16-year-old boy died when he was stabbed in the stomach in Brisbane City in April 2021.
