Southern Queensland’s newest Bunnings Warehouse could be sold by the time it’s finished, with the site going up for auction next month.

The new hardware superstore at Plainland, near the Warrego Highway in the Lockyer Valley, will go under the hammer through Burgess Rawson on June 23.

According to the online listing, the two-hectare site is expected to be completed by mid-June.

“(A) blue-chip tenant, wholly owned by $62 billion Wesfarmers Limited, recently announced a 39 per cent increase in first half earnings,” the listing said.

“(It’s in a) booming growth corridor location, 60 km west of the Brisbane CBD, (where) median house prices are up 26 per cent since April 2020.”
