Rugby league fans heading along to Toowoomba’s NRL match this weekend will be required to wear a mask, according to health authorities.

Darling Downs Health said all attendees would need to wear a mask at all times while inside the grounds, including when seated.

Masks can be removed to eat and drink, but patrons must remain seated when they do so.

Fans will also need to use the Check In Queensland app when entering the stadium and using any of the bars on-site.

Darling Downs city patrol Inspector Paul James said there would be some road closures in place around the stadium in East Toowoomba.

Punters can also expect a heavy police presence at the stadium and in the Safe Night Precinct after the game.
