Juice and smoothie van proves popular with Toowoomba residents

After working for two years to turn their dream into a reality, a young Toowoomba couple is now enjoying the benefits of being their own boss and tempting the tastebuds of Downs residents.

Minnie Radburn and Lachie Oliver launched Start Fresh Co with visions of serving fresh juice and smoothies while enjoying life on the road.

The pair’s plans have changed though with demand for their juices and smoothies from Toowoomba locals all but ensuring they’re staying local for now with the couple going “full-time” a few weeks ago.

“One of the most exciting and rewarding things for me is seeing our repeat customers,” Ms Radburn said.

“We set up at the Cobb and Co Markets every Saturday and I love seeing the familiar faces and we have a few regulars with our home deliveries.”

The business officially launched in August of last year but the work began just over two years after the pair discovered they shared a mutual goal.

“We both talked about being our own boss, having a business and being able to travel with that business,” Ms Radburn said.

“From there we saw there was a gap in the market for juices and smoothies.”

The pair then set about creating a product that encapsulated their positive outlooks.

“We both have a very and healthy outlook on life,” Mr Oliver said.

“There was a lot of trial and error as we worked on different recipes but we wanted to make sure we had something with credibility behind it.

“We then approached a dietitian who took us through all the health benefits of what we were offering and we’re really proud of the results.”
