Local produce, businesses and support were the key aspects to this year’s Hampton Food and Arts Festival.
Festival co-ordinator Wendy Allen said the weather held up for the rescheduled festival, after soaking rain washed out its original date.
“It was a gorgeous day in the high country at Hampton,” she said.
“We had to postpone (the first festival), it was so wet and soggy, we couldn’t even get trucks in so it was a very good decision made early in the week.
“It’s proved the best thing because its beautiful weather now.
“We’ve had dry weather leading up to it, which meant the ground has been fine.”
Ms Allen said the festival was a great opportunity for the district to come together and celebrate.
“For the Hampton community, this is a great celebration of this region,” she said.
“For the whole high country region, it’s a great celebration of all that is here, and its quite different from the rest of the Darling Downs.
“It’s a great abundance and variety of produce and the value added produce from the local growers.”
