Gatton police arrest 37-year-old man at Regency Downs for domestic violence offences

A 37-year-old man was arrested by Gatton police over the weekend following a series of alleged domestic violence offences.
A 42-year-old woman reported to police March 12, alleging several incidents of assault and strangulation.
At 5.30pm on Sunday, March 13, police received information the man was at a Regency Downs property and was located lying in the roof space of a house.
Police allege that when he was spotted he ran at the officers.
He was arrested and charged with four counts of contravening a domestic violence order and three counts of choking (domestic violence offence).
He was also charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence) and obstructing police.
Police worked with the woman who reported the incidents to develop a safety plan as investigations commenced.
The man was refused police bail and will appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on March 14.
