Thousands of festival goers have attended the 2022 Festival of Food and Wine in Toowoomba’s Queens Park, as the Carnival of Flowers reaches new levels. See the photos here.

Vera Blue at Festival of Food & Wine

Thousands decked out Queens Park for the annual Carnival of Flowers Festival of Food and Wine at the weekend.

Eager food, wine and music lovers enjoyed an array of entertainment as the weather held off and icons took to the stage.

Withcott resident Katrina Hennessy was joined by her family and friends on Saturday to sample all the festival had on offer, after a surprising gift made her weekend.

“We only got given the tickets (several hours before hand),” she said.

“Our clients said they weren’t able to go and asked us if we wanted to.”

Mrs Hennessy said this year’s event was an improvement from pre-Covid days.

“I like it better than last time … it’s more spread out and lots more tables and chairs,” she said.

“It’s lovely and it’s nice to have a variety (on offer).”
