Twelve fire crews have attended a grain shed fire in Norwin this morning, with the teams working over several hours to secure the property.
The crews were called to the shed on Brookstead Norwin Rd and Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd just after 7.30am.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said reports indicated a 50m x 30m grain shed holding sorghum waste dry had caught fire and then burnt slowly.
She said a mix of rural and urban crews were called into action and worked to contain the fire to the shed.
They were joined by police and paramedics.
Early this afternoon a Bobcat was tasked to the property to help increase access to the shed.
Six crews were still on scene at 3.30pm and atmospheric and gas monitoring was conducted.
