Fire engulfs shed, vehicles damaged, teen bitten by snake, car hits pole
A scorcher of a day in the Darling Downs has kept emergency services busy with shed fires, a car crash into the pole, and a snake bite.

Emergency services have responded to shed fires, a reported snakebite, and a car crash after the mercury soared on Sunday followed by late night storms.
Emergency services were called to Six Mile Creek in Postmans Ridge, about 16km northeast of Toowoomba after a shed was engulfed in flames, damaging multiple vehicles, including a mini excavator, a Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said.
Seven fire crews battled the fire for an hour, finally making the area safe by 3.40pm, she said.
Paramedics were also on scene and assessed two people, who declined transport to hospital, a QAS spokesman said.
A couple of hours later, four fire crew responded to a garage fire on Harlemar Rd in Southbrook, about 28km west of Toowoomba.
Smoke and flames were reported coming out from under the colourbond roller door garage, a QFD spokeswoman said.
Fire crews extinguished the flames just before 7pm, there were no occupants on the property, she said.
Around the same time, at 6.30pm, a man in his 40s was taken to Toowoomba Hospital after crashing a car into a pole in Burton St, Harristown, a QAS spokeswoman said.
One fire crew attended, and there was only minor damage to the pole, a QFD spokeswoman said.
In Pittsworth, about 40km southwest of Toowoomba, a teenage boy was taken to Toowoomba Hospital after a reported snakebite on a private property at 11.30am on Sunday, a QAS spokeswoman said.
