Emergency wrap: Glenvale man in 90s hospitalised after car hits mobility scooter

A man in his 90s has been taken to hospital after a car hit his mobility scooter in Toowoomba’s western suburbs. Read our emergency services wrap here:

Firefighters were quick to extinguish a small fire inside a Westbrook property on Monday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said one crew arrived at the address on Shoesmith Rd shortly before 11am.

Firefighters are in the process of ventilating the house and will continue conducting smoke monitoring to ensure the property is clear, the QFD spokesman said.

It is believed no occupants were injured.

Elderly man rushed to hospital

A man in his 90s has been rushed to hospital after a car hit a mobility scooter in Glenvale on Sunday.

Emergency services received the call at 9.15am on Rocla Court, with paramedics attending.

The elderly man was treated for a leg injury and taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after hitting wall on highway

A motorcycle rider has been left with injuries after her bike reportedly hit a wall while riding along a highway near Warwick on Sunday.

The incident was reported to the Queensland Ambulance Service about 12.45pm on the Cunningham Highway at Tregony.

The woman in her 40s was treated for leg injuries and taken to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.

Person hospitalised after Newtown crash

A single-vehicle crash in Toowoomba’s inner suburbs has left a person in hospital.

The crash along Taylor Street in Newtown occurred about 12.20pm on Saturday, not far from local shopping precinct Wyalla Plaza.

Two people were assessed by paramedics at the scene, with one taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
