Toowoomba’s main COVID-19 testing site at Baillie Henderson has been reopened by the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service, amid a tightening of restrictions.

The DDHHS reopened the area from 2pm on Monday and will remain available for the next two days between 8.30am and 4pm.

It comes as Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the Queensland border would again be shut to certain visitors from Greater Sydney, as the Northern Beaches cluster continues to grow.

“We are closely monitoring the evolving situation in NSW and are prepared to keep the Baillie Henderson site open for longer, and re-open our other drive-through testing sites at Goondiwindi and Wallangarra if needed,” the health service said on Facebook.

“Please be aware that waiting times can vary at all of our COVID-19 testing sites.

“Please be patient and kind while you wait to be tested.”
