A Toowoomba store which specialises in home decor is being inundated with orders for dried flower arrangements, whether it be for a wedding or to style a home.
Dried flowers are by no means a new concept, but they are certainly making a comeback in the world of home decor.
Anan Phaewchamnan has owned Premier Cane and Flowers for 21 years, but the store opened in Toowoomba in 1982.
The store sells a range of decor including cane chairs and baskets, vases, hanging pots, water jug sets as well as stocks a huge collection of dried flowers.
Mr Phaewchamnan has a knack for creating the most perfect arrangements, styled to exactly the customer’s needs.
He said dried flowers were slowly taking over fresh flowers when it came pieces around the home and were even popular with wedding parties.
“People love dried flowers because they last for years as opposed to fresh flowers which can die after a few days,” he said.
“They are better than the real thing.
“There are many styles and softer colours to choose from so there is something to suit everyone.
“They have become very popular lately with more people coming in to order.
“I even create arrangements for people all around the region.”
Mr Phaewchamnan said many brides-to-be came in wanting bridal bouquets and table arrangements.
“Dried flowers are a great option for your wedding because they last so long and they can act like a memory of your special day,” he said.
Premier Cane and Flowers is located at 411 Ruthven St and is open seven days.
