The Empire Theatre will play host to the puppets of Avenue Q on February 18 -20, as Shoebox Theatre Company brings to life the acclaimed Tony Award winning show.

After a highly successful season in 2019, the show returns to the stage with an all local cast and band, bringing the story of the loveable, down on his luck Princeton and his friends to life.

Being the first musical to open at the Empire Theatre in almost a year, Shoebox is looking forward to welcoming a large audience to revitalise the community arts sector after a difficult year for all.

As an adult musical comedy, Avenue Q will delight lovers of musical theatre, adult humour, and The Muppets alike.

Will lead puppet Princeton find his purpose? Find out about his struggles as he makes friends, finds love, loses love and finds it all over again, along the way.

Sixty per cent foam rubber, 40 per cent adult content and 100 per cent laughs – this is a show you cannot miss.
