Grand Central has highlighted the Toowoomba region in their latest digital runway, showcasing the new season’s fashion trends.
Grand Central marketing executive Julie Thompson said the centre’s latest fashion shoot was filmed at Crows Nest National Park to highlight the region’s great day trips.
“We wanted to feature some of the incredible scenery here in Toowoomba for this shoot. A bushwalk with friends along the eucalypt forest and boulder strewn waterways provides a great day out,” she said.
Ms Thompson said while the spontaneity of a road trip and bushwalk was perfect for autumn weekends, choosing your outfits was well worth a little pre-planning.
“While it is most important to have the basics covered, think water, first aid and sunscreen you can also have a little fun getting your wardrobe right,” she said.
Grand Central has given some top tips to achieve a versatile autumn wardrobe to keep you active.
- Comfort is key – Fabric choice is important when it comes to comfort and your outfit selection. Breathable fabrics don’t come better than cotton blends, so a classic t-shirt is a great choice. Activewear fabric has come a long way from the lycra days and are a staple in most modern wardrobes.
- Layer up – We all know Toowoomba weather can turn easily, so being prepared for unexpected changes is key. A denim jacket or light cardigan wrapped around the waist is the most versatile, as is a great button through shirt or compactable rain jacket that can easily be thrown over tanks and tees.
- Shoes – Sneakers are the perfect way to inject style into your outfit and provide great grip and fit needed for bushwalking.
- Accessories – A cap and sunnies are the go-to choices for any day outside. Bucket hats are also making a comeback and are key to turning any outfit into a winner.
Ms Thompson said autumn 2021 provided the perfect weather and backdrop for a hike to Tabletop Mountain, find waterfalls at Crows Nest or follow the winding road to a new unknown trail.
