A new option has popped up on Uber Eats and it offers all things eggs benedict.

Considering the breakfast food is so popular in Toowoomba, it makes sense to have the niche offering here in the Garden City.

Sir Benedict is a spin off from The Coffee Club and operates as a virtual restaurant, which refers to a professional food preparation and cooking facility set up for delivery-only meals.

It’s not the first of its kind in Toowoomba, with a number of others such as Oh Boy, Supreme Leader, Double Dragon Dumplings and WingHAUS.

Sir Benedict is designed as a brunch brand using eggs benedict as the hero product.

Customers can’t dine in but can order on UberEats with menu items including the standard eggs benedict dishes as well as Eggs Bene with Chicken and Avocado, Eggs Bene with Pulled Beef, Eggs Bene with Haloumi.

Also, on the menu are Eggs Bene Pancakes, Eggs Bene Bacon on Hashbrowns and Eggs Bene on Fritters.

The virtual restaurant launched at the Margaret St Coffee Club on December 16 and manager Tia Head said it was incredibly popular.

“Everyone knows the Coffee Club eggs benedict is the best so we knew it would be popular,” she said.

“It’s a Coffee Club initiative and one we’ve had on our radar for quite a while.”

She said there was no need to be concerned about the dishes not travelling well, with the chefs ensuring a fresh meal on delivery.

“One of the concerns we originally had was how the eggs would travel but there have been no issues and we’ve been getting great reviews,” she said.

“It depends on the dish but we will wrap elements separate to stop them going soggy and to stop the eggs breaking. They travel really well.”

Like all businesses the Coffee Club hasn’t been immune to the effects of Covid and Ms Head said delivery services such as Uber Eats, Menulog and DoorDash had been a lifesaver.

Sir Benedict is available from 6.30am to 8.30pm, seven days a week.
