TOOWOOMBA children are making their fashion-debut modelling on two-metre-high digital runway screens at Grand Central.
The digital runway screens on level one of the Retail Galleria are usually reserved for adults modelling the latest fashion trends in the centre.
But now it's the children's turn.
Grand Central marketing manager Marieke Bridgeman said for the first time the centre was featuring children's fashion.
"Many people will have seen our digital runway. We regularly do fashion shoots to feature the latest trends and fashion in the centre.
"But this time we thought it would be fun to feature some children's fashion.
"Most of the kids featured on the runway are from Toowoomba, and they did an amazing job.
"Our team had such fun dressing them in the latest children's looks and watching them strut the runway."
The children were dressed in clothing, shoes and accessories from Grand Central retailers Cotton On Kids, Seed Heritage, Love Henry, Country Road, Myer, Platypus, Kmart, Sportsgirl, Target, R.M.Williams, Shoe Warehouse, and Smiggle.
Mecca Maxima also helped to style the children before they hit the runway.
Local production company Thru a Lens Media once again shot the footage for Grand Central's digital runway.
FASHION TIPS
Boys
- Throw on one of this season's long sleeve checkered shirts over a graphic tee and a pair of jeans or chinos. Of course it's sneakers again with everything, but don't overlook a great pair of boots.
- For a special event, and the ultimate cool guy style, swap out the traditional shirt and consider a blazer for your little man.
- For the days that are filled with adventure, you can't go past a hoodie and sweats.
Girls
- Fairy dresses, unicorn headbands and gumboots that reveal stripy socks are in for girls who want to have fun.
- Layering is still the way to go for minis, denim jackets, and tutus over denim.
- Summer dresses can be given new life when you bring layering into the picture - a denim jacket, a long line cardigan and boots, a tee shirt underneath a tank style strap.
- Not all girls want to wear dresses, so invest in different shades of denim and have a good selection of short and long sleeve tees on hand.
