The Bavarian Toowoomba is a 300-seat casual dining restaurant, which will open at Grand Central later this year.
It will sell a large range of Bavarian favourites, including crispy pork knuckle, crackling pork belly, an assortment of schnitzels, a range of classic German and gourmet sausages and shared platters.
A range of lighter bites includes salted pretzels, chicken wings, haus pickles and dips, and build-your-own salads and wraps.
The bier line-up includes a range of pure Bavarian biers and local craft beers served in traditional glass steins.
When The Chronicle shared the news on Facebook, residents were quick to share their excitement with friends.
Almost 700 people reacted to the post, and more than 350 people commented their thoughts.
Kellie Jesse-Reimers said: "Pork knuckle...how great is that. Don't have to go to Broadbeach!"
Lizzie Smith said: "There goes my wallet and my waistline."
Angelika Egger said: "Pork knuckle and German beer... woohoo!"
Aidan Menkins said: "All my dreams are coming true."
Luke Hart said: "Sweet baby Jesus, my prayers have been answered for pork knuckle."
Toowoomba residents may be even more excited to know that construction is going ahead at another German beer garden site in town.
The firmer 2Birds site at Walton Stores is currently be transformed into a beer garden.
Bavarian Biergarden signs have been hung out the front, and seating has been added to the previously grassed area.
The works are the first sign of movement at the sight since it closed up shop in September, with owner of neighbouring Walton Stores restaurant The Moose, Aaron Goldie, taking on the project.
Mr Goldie has remained tight-lipped about the site and there has not been a confirmed opening date for his next endeavour.
