April 16, 4pm: Northern Territory Police have arrested a 37-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a woman known to him in the Northern Suburbs.

The alleged domestic violence incident took place in Millner about 12.30am on Wednesday.

Police arrested the man at the scene and the alleged victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The man and woman are believed to be known to each other.

The alleged offender remains in police custody with charges expected to follow.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 131 444 and quote reference number P25103778.

Man arrested after alleged massage parlour robbery

April 15, 12:50am: NT Police have arrested a 37-year-old man after an aggravated robbery at a massage parlour in the Darwin CBD.

Early Tuesday morning, police received reports of two men allegedly entering the parlour, stealing cash and property, and assaulting the workers.

The 37-year-old was arrested nearby and is currently in police custody.

Serious crime are making enquiries to locate the second man involved in the robbery.

April 14, 12.45pm: Police are calling for information after a single vehicle crash on the outskirts of Darwin earlier this month.

About 12pm on Saturday, April 5, a white Toyota RAV4 travelling on the Stuart Highway near Sayer Rd, McMinns Lagoon, spun in a circle before coming to a stop on the median strip.

A man driving a silver Mitsubishi Triton, with a flat tray and toolboxes, stopped to help before making a report to police.

Detectives believe the driver of Mitsubishi can assist with the investigation and are urging them to make contact.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage in the area between 11.30am and 1pm is encouraged to come forward and call 131 444, quoting reference NTP2500035499.

Woman on the run after alleged receipt scam, metal bat assault

April 14, 12.30pm: Two people are in custody after a series of incidents involving a receipt scam, metal bat, and car crash.

At 3.40pm on Sunday NT Police received reports of a television theft at a business in a Yarrawonga shopping centre.

A man bought a TV and allegedly then gave the receipt to two women believed to be known to him.

It was alleged the two women walked around for an hour and loaded their trolley with a separate TV and other items before walking out and presenting the same receipt.

Shopping centre security staff were made aware of the suspicious activity and upon questioning the women one of them allegedly swung a metal bat at the guard before fleeing the scene in a car.

At 11:20pm that night, Strike Force Trident detectives went to a Nightcliff home in relation to the ongoing investigation.

The bat-wielding woman arrived at the home while police were in attendance and tried to flee by jumping on the side of a vehicle that was being driven by someone believed to be known to her, police allege.

That car later crashed into a fence on Eugenia St, with all occupants fleeing the scene on foot.

Three adult occupants of the car were soon located hiding in nearby yards, however the woman that police were looking for remains on the run.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being the driver and taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for a blood test and medical assessment.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly behaviour and also taken to hospital for a medical assessment.

Strike Force Trident have carriage of the investigations, and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444.

Fork used to hold up restaurant

April 14, 12pm: Two women have been charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly holding up a Darwin City restaurant with a fork to steal grog.

At 11.15am on Sunday NT Police received a report that the pair entered a restaurant on Knuckey St and allegedly threatened staff with a fork before stealing two bottles of alcohol and fleeing the scene.

Both women, aged 28 and 30, have been charged with aggravated robbery and theft.

They are due to appear in Darwin Local Court on Tuesday.

Worker suffers serious injuries after rock thrown at car

April 14, 10.40am: The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information after an assault in Wadeye last week which left a worker with serious facial injuries.

At 5.45am on Friday, a 23-year-old man was driving his Toyota HiLux work car along Perdjert St in the remote community when an unknown man allegedly threw a large rock at the vehicle.

The rock hit the driver’s side window, with the victim suffering serious facial injuries which required treatment at the local clinic.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing and police are urging anyone within the community with information to come forward or visit your local station, quoting reference number NTP2500037483.

Three teenage girls arrested after alleged break ins and car thefts

April 14, 9am: Police have arrested three girls in relation to two allegedly stolen motor vehicles in Nightcliff overnight.

Around 8:35pm, police received reports that a residence was unlawfully entered, and a grey Lexus and a quantity of alcohol were allegedly stolen.

Later at 9:25pm, police received a report that a blue Volkswagen was allegedly stolen from a separate residence after having had the keys stolen two days earlier.

Police allege the two vehicles travelled together throughout the Greater Darwin region before stopping near a business on Camphor Street in Nightcliff at around 3am. Police received reports of the suspicious activity, and the offenders fled in one of the vehicles before police arrived. With assistance from police CCTV operators the vehicle was located a short distance away.

The vehicle was observed losing control and crashing into a fence at a slow speed at the intersection of Progress Dr and Phoenix St.

All three girls, aged 14, 14 and 17-years-old, self-extracted from the vehicle and were apprehended.
