OUR SAY: Where has the year gone?
The start tomorrow of our annual camellia show signals to me and thousands of others that winter is on the wane and our Carnival of Flowers and Chronicle Garden Competition can't be far away.
The camellia show is a major event for the region's gardeners.
It is the result of 12 months planning and thousands of volunteer hours.
Over the next two days thousands of garden lovers from across Australia and beyond will descend upon the TAFE Toowoomba campus in Campbell St to celebrate Queensland's largest camellia show.
If you love camellias, there is no better place to be this weekend.
The show also features three internationally-regarded experts who will deliver 10 contrasting presentations, back-to-back, throughout the show.
Camellia expert Dr Stephen Utick, show favourite Claire Bickle and Phil Dudman will highlight the weekend.
It appears the weather will also be joining in the fun, with clear sunny days predicted.
Let's throw off the winter chill and get out to enjoy the camellia show.
