Major Crash officers are investigating a collision between a truck and a sedan resulting in a woman's death at Waterloo Corner earlier this morning.

On Tuesday, just after 12.15am, emergency services were alerted to a crash between the concrete truck and Lexus sedan at the intersections of Port Wakefield Highway and McEvoy Road.

The driver of the sedan, a 19-year-old woman from Buckland Park, died at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries. He is assisting police with their investigations.

Roads have reopened since the crash after Major Crash officers examined the scene.

The woman’s death is the 69th live lost on South Australian roads this year.

This comes only two days after a young man died after a shocking crash at Waterloo Corner. The 27-year-old, from Elizabeth North, crashed his car into a light pole and then a tree on Sunday.
