Major Crash officers are investigating a collision between a truck and a Lexus that claimed the life of a young woman'at Waterloo Corner on Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, just after 12.15am, emergency services were alerted to a crash between the concrete truck and Lexus sedan at the intersections of Port Wakefield Highway and McEvoy Road.

The driver of the sedan, who has been identified as a 19-year-old woman named Amy from Buckland Park, died at the scene.

She is the 69th person to die on South Australian roads this year.

Nearby residents reportedly heard a loud bang and the horrific scene on CCTV as the Lexus burst in flames.

Amy’s devastated boyfriend was seen lying flowers as a makeshift tribute at the scene accompanied by other friends, according to 7NEWS.

Loved ones of Amy also shared heartwarming tributes on social media.

“I love you and wish you are able to rest well,” one wrote, while another one added “I’ll miss you everyday.”

The truck driver was taken to hospital where he was being treated for minor injuries and was assisting police with their investigations.

Roads have since reopened after Major Crash officers examined the scene as investigations into the incident determine the circumstances that led up to the crash.

The tragedy comes only two days after a 27-year-old Max Schoepf from Elizabeth North died after a shocking crash at Waterloo Corner.

Mr Schoepf had crashed his car into a light pole on Port Wakefield Highway and then a tree, around 3.45am on Sunday.

The distraught “soulmate” of a loving father killed in a crash at Waterloo Corner at the weekend says she’ll love him forever – and he’s “out of pain now, living free”.

His partner Paige Redman said the loss “feels like a bad dream”.

“Rest in peace to my best friend, my soulmate and the one I’ll love forever. You’re out of pain now, living free and loved more than you can imagine in God’s loving arms,” she wrote on a Facebook post.

Kaylah Redman, Ms Redman’s sister, launched a GoFundMe fundraiser so the family could give Mr Schoepf “a beautiful send-off”. They are hoping to raise $17,000.

“Anyone who knows Max knows he deserves a beautiful send off and final goodbye but due to financial reason this is something that is going to be out of my sister’s means so we are asking if people could please donate towards Maxy’s final goodbye,” Kaylah wrote.

Kaylah said she and her sisters were celebrating a 31st birthday at an Airbnb when they got the call about Mr Schoepf’s death.

Tributes have poured in for the “loving father”, who has been described as a “kind man” and someone who “wanted the best for his boys”.

“Max loved Ryder and Lachlan and was such a fun and loving father showing so much love for his boys,” Kaylah wrote.

“He was a hands-on and invested dad who truly always wanted the best for his boys.”
